A celiac-friendly wheat is on the way
Researchers at UC Davis have genetically modified wheat to reduce gluten's harmful effects on people with celiac disease, creating a variety with improved bread quality and reduced celiac triggers. While not a complete solution, this breakthrough holds promise for lessening the impact of celiac disease and improving the lives of those with gluten sensitivities.
